If You’re Over thinking, You’re Under living
Someone shared this phrase with me some years ago, and it helped me realize how much I had been draining my most valuable resources by constantly overthinking everything.
My time and energy were spent over analyzing every possible scenario, with most of my focus going toward the most catastrophic ones I could imagine… I was “catastrophizing” everything!

This thought pattern kept my mind trapped in an endless loop of over analysis, fueling anxiety and distress while robbing me of my ability to be present, create, and find real, effective solutions. I was mentally, emotionally, and physically exhausted!

Fortunately, in 2009, after years of searching for answers, I discovered that the key to breaking free from this pattern wasn’t in all the information I had collected from books and workshops, nor in trying to control every external detail (overthinking was part of what I call controlitis).

The real answer came when I realized that the solution was already inside me.
